We spend so much time trying to avoid pain. But so much good comes after the pain. Our bodies get stronger through pain. We work hard at our jobs and feel the pain of being wore out and tired, but the reward can be great. I grew up on the Great Plains in northeastern Montana. The American Bison is the only animal that faces into a storm when it comes. They will run into it, knowing instinctively that they can get through the pain faster by running into and through the storm than running away from it. There is a lesson for us from this amazing animal: Turn and face our problems and our pain. Deal with it quickly, efficiently, and effectively. We will get through the pain quickly and reap the benefits of growth because of it.
