It’s a throw-back kind of day. A quote from Andrew Jackson and a song from Johnny Horton. I wouldn’t say that I agree with Andrew Jackson’s fiscal policy or his stance on human rights. But the man was tough. And brave. There is something intriguing about a person who will stand in the face of chaos and danger and walk calmly towards it. His soldiers followed him into battle because of this courage. Despite his numerous flaws, I think there is some merit in the leadership he demonstrated that we can all learn from. So today, I am looking back on old ideas of leadership and draw from it what I can to be a better leader myself. Sometimes that means standing alone in the face of difficulty and trusting those that are with you will follow you. I know my Team will follow me.
