Communication Resources started in Missoula, MT in March of 2004. Like many small businesses, it began with a desk in the basement of a home and couple shelves in the garage. Our mission has always been helping small businesses, commercial, industrial clients, and government entities obtain telecommunication, security, and life safety system goals. Accomplished by providing connectivity, solutions, and peace of mind in the ever-evolving world of technology.
With a vision of being the first choice for premier technology solutions for customers throughout the inland northwest, we have grown since our early days and have no intentions of slowing down. With various employees throughout the state, including Missoula, Great Falls, Butte, Helena, and Plains, we are able to service the majority of Montana and continue to grow.

Chris Richard
Owner/General Manager
Chris Richard is the Owner and General Manager of Communication Resources. He has been part of the company from the very beginning in March 2004. His career in telecommunications started in 1995 by working for his father’s small company in Northeast Montana. He graduated from MSU Northern with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
Even though he grew up in eastern Montana, he has lived in Missoula for over 20 years and considers it his forever home. He enjoys four-wheeling, hiking around Seeley Lake, and traveling. He has been to all 56 counties in Montana, almost all 50 states (some of those in the middle are still waiting to be visited), over 18 countries, and on 4 continents.
He is an avid reader. His favorite book is Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know by Ranulph Feinnes. His favorite movie is Cool Hand Luke. He loves to play backgammon or any trivia game.
